Rental Terms & Policies

Version 2026-07-27 · Effective July 27, 2026

1. Your rental & payment

The amount shown at checkout is what we charge you today for the days you selected, plus delivery ($12, free on gear orders over $100). Payment is taken up front via Stripe. Damage, loss, and late-return charges (below) may be billed separately after your rental.

2. Damage, loss & liability — and your authorization to charge

You are responsible for the gear from the moment it's delivered or picked up until it's returned to us. Please return everything in the condition you received it. Gear that is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear is billed at repair cost, or at these flat replacement prices if a repair isn't practical: portable net $200, paddle $60, ball set $15. By booking, you authorize District Dink to charge the payment card saved at checkout for these documented repair/replacement costs, and for the late-return charges in section 4. We'll tell you the amount and the reason before charging.

3. Cancellation & refunds

Full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your first rental day. Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before and we'll give you a 50% refund or a full credit toward a future rental; within 24 hours bookings are non-refundable, though we'll reschedule when we can. If District Dink can't fulfill your booking, you always get a full refund.

4. Late returns

Gear is due back by the return time you chose. If you keep it past the 9 AM morning grace window, each additional day (or part of a day) is billed at the standard daily rate for that gear, charged to the card on file per section 2.

5. No-show

If we can't reach you or can't access the delivery address at the scheduled time, it's treated as a same-day cancellation (non-refundable).

6. Weather

Playing outdoors, weather happens. If the National Weather Service forecast for your area and time shows rain, or sustained winds over 25 mph, tell us at least 2 hours before your start time and we'll reschedule at no charge or give you a full credit. (Outside that objective trigger, the normal cancellation policy in section 3 applies.)

7. Use & safety

Pickleball is a physical activity. You and everyone in your group use the equipment and play at your own risk, and are responsible for playing safely and for the property and people at your chosen location. To the fullest extent permitted by law, District Dink is not responsible for injury or for damage that happens at your play location. Please keep nets on flat, dry surfaces and follow any posted rules where you play. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under California law.
